I (julie) received the following text, which i thought worthy of sharing. As you may have read my Middle Sister and Lovely Niece are currently in Chile travelling with mum, Middle Sister has been horseriding which was, apparently, fantastic, then they were going to an island to see some penguins, i am sure we will get a fuller update in due course. however this evening i received the following news....
'disaster has struck Camp Womble. I (Middle Sister) have broken my toe badly. Mum is in charge.....the wet, white washing and its bucket of water fell out of the door into the dusty car park.....twice. Your Lovely Niece fell off the seat and landed in the bucket I was soaking my broken toe in and then mum threw a whole kilo of sea salt into the cooking pasta. At this point she (mum) went purple!'
anyone who knows mum in real life will recognise those 'purple moments' when she is overcome with laughter, i am just remembering one on the escalator up to Harrods...
