the gang are going with eco expeditions to www.pantanaltrekking.com
on the way to the pantanal they drove through savannah, maureen saw 2 Hyacinthine Macaws flying right across her windscreen (note from julie, i found some online pictures by 'googling' - they are *really* blue!!). then they saw 6 Tocotoucans showing off in a tree for the visitors, mum is obviously very excited - this is just a taste of the pantanal. they were in Campo Grande having a night in a hotel when she sent me the text.
