So i have received help from someone more literate with computers than me and we now have a photo on the blog, well, two actually. so, perhaps a further introdution is necessary. norman and barbara are at the front of the castle donnington picture, trying to turn around, they are driving a land rover of some description, their vehicle is currently on board ship, they are flying over later. olwyn is next to norman in a purple top, her partner john is opposite her with a hat on. their vehicle is also currently on board a different ship and they are also flying. maureen (my mum, aka wendy or womble) is next to olywn, also in lilac, with dark glasses, she is next to peter (white hat and beard) who is next to his wife janet - these three are on board ship together with their vehicles and the land rover, mums vehicle and peter and janets are the mercedes conversions. lastly we have les in the baseball cap and dark glasses and his wife margaret, they are on board a different ship with their mercedes conversion and olwyn and johns euromobil.
today we had a text from mum saying they had been ashore in brazil, i am assuming that is rio, she is very excited and happy, she says the boat trip has been wonderful. she had fried banana for lunch - she doesn't like bananas, ever since she had her first one during the war and ate it with the skin on. there are five more ports before they get off in buenos aeries and we will hopefully have a more full report then.
i am maureens eldest daughter, julie, and no i dont like to travel! i am a real home body so my job is to keep those home fires burning.
